Stepped on clutch pedal and now cruise control flashes
Driving down the highway with cruise on, I stepped on the clutch pedal and the cruise control light started flashing. I have the "cruise always on" mod.
There is a wire replacing the relay, so it's not a bad relay.
I suspect the clutch switch or rubber bumper on the pedal. I will post what I find after work.
Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have it to where it's always on, isn't it supposed to do that? When I have it on and press the clutch in, mine flashes. Not sure if it's supposed to do that or not, though.

Its never flashed in three years. The button is always lit, and the word cruise is lit only when active.
While cruise light was flashing on the whole drive in, the system was unresponsive.

I put the ASCD relay back in before driving home from work for the ability to reset the system while driving home. The issue did not come up again. Hopefully its not intermittent, and just a fluke.
According to the FSM, the cruise light blinking is usually associated with one of the inputs on the control module missing power. Since you said this happened when you stepped on the clutch, this would mean pin 5. The power flow is fuse, energized relay (or the jumper), through the clutch pedal switch, through the brake pedal switch, to pin 5 of the control unit.
I used the FSM and looked at pages EL-137, EL-140, EL-142, el-145.
Or it could be that the control unit just needed to be powered off and reset.
