Cannot pull out the MAF connector (Images attached)

I'm not sure what i am supposed to do here with this MAF connector. I've pushed down and tried to pull it out, i've even tried pinching it and pulling it out. Doesn't seem to work, so I was wondering if it is actually not the factory installed connector. Anyone have some tips?

Flathead screwdriver and elbow grease.

Connector tabs are fun.

No the connector has a pinch tab, so push the tab inward while pulling up on the connector ... as stated above connector can be such fun, keep at it you will get it to pull up and off (I trust you have disconnected the battery?) always a wise thing to do when working on any electrical componet.

I've disconnected the negative terminal, I don't really have any plans on being electrocuted any time soon.

flat head screw driver and use that as leverage for the clip

Use the flat head and push down on the plastic clip, then hold the connector (plastic part not cable) and pull back

Disconnecting the battery is not to keep you safe (as if a 12 volt battery would hurt you) it is to protect the sensor that you are about to disconnect from any surge and thus burning it out.
