Lower oil pan from the Gen 4 Maxima x 1

Before extending the O2 sensor wires, take close look at the actual harness, and see if you can cut some of the wire loom tape and not have to extend them. Extending the O2 signal wire isn't a good idea IMO. They will also need to tap into the headers, or pipe post cat.

These are minor issues though.

I meant "relitavely" speaking ><

I took a peak under the car today and no way I am going to try this myself. SO much rust under there I think the shop will have to use screw extractor kits everywhere.

Did you order headers George??? You have another post going simultaneously for a group buy on OBX where you don't seem to have anything ordered yet.

It was easy 10 years ago, as these cars age and rust, it get's more and more difficult. When I installed headers back on NYE 2004/2005, with 2 years on the clock and 37k, I probably could have eaten using my best China while doing it. Now, I barely tap something under there and I feel as if I've been sandblasted.

why the oil pan? I second cutting the o2 sensor harness, that wiring in there is hard to solder.

I recommend the 4th gen oil pan after reading old threads about members installing it to make future oil changes easier with the Cattman y-pipe. The Cattman Y just runs too close to the oil drain plug. You have to use a wrench to remove the plug its so tight. The 4th gen lower pan drains the oil toward the passenger side; no obstructions and no oil on the exhaust!

Don't get me wrong, changing the oil using the stock pan isn't horrible, but I wish I would had spent that extra $30 or so odd dollars on a new pan while I was in there. Worth it in conveiniance.

The car doesn't have anything fancy exhaust wise... Just a little noisy but no mandrel bends and it sounds a little fart wagon(ish)

Wtf George? You have two sets of headers coming - OBX and Cattman? And you just spent $300 on an oil pan, manifold gaskets and some nuts and bolts?

I see things haven't changed.

Won't be hard to sell the OBX stuff and I'll be doing someone in Canada a favour bringing it into Canada

Any news on TMEC?
