Ambient Lighting - All 4 footwells + Middle Space + Cupholder - Need Wiring Help

Ok, I am working on adding ambient lighting to all four footwells (driver, passenger, and both backseat foot areas + empty space under the air conditioning controls + cup holders. I am using 3M VHB 4941 tape to stick them where I need, except for the backseat footwell Led's, where I use velcro to stick under the seats. For the cupholder, I plan on removing the shift **** carbon fiber paneling, then using a dremel and cut a very tiny slot (that can't be seen from inside the cup holders) and taping the LED's to that slot, taped from inside the gearbox area though. Everything is solidly soldered and heat-shrink wrapped for quality assurance!

I initially hooked it up to the red/blue striped parking brake wire with the interior fuse box, but that only makes it come on when the engine is started.

I want to wire it so that that it turns on when I open the doors, and then stays on all the time while I'm driving.

So anybody have any ideas on how I need to wire this up to make it happen? I have been searching the web about 10 hours, and still can find anything that tells me exactly how to wire it this way, and usually I can figure stuff like this out, but having the hardest time figuring this out!

Lastly, I did try running a power wire from the stock footwell wiring, as well as from the parking brake wire (basically having 2 power wires, coming from different sources) and it worked, but noticed when I turn the car off and locked the doors, the LED's still stay on.

So I'm just trying to figure out how to make it stay on from the moment I open the door, and stay on while driving, and still stay on, up until the moment I turn the car off and lock the doors.

I was thinking of something... somewhat similar, but haven't run any multimeter tests.

You could look into tapping the door window control panels. They light up when the car is on, so they're obviously getting power. They'll just always be on when your car is on. I haven't looked at the diagrams yet but this is what I was planning to do for accent lighting.

Oh... huh... I see the dilemma. Disregard my suggestion. Odd that running two separate power sources wouldn't work... Have you tried any other ignition power source? Hvac screen power, perhaps?

Actually, that might work, as it is in an always on power state, and the LED's only use at most 1-2 watts if that. Now i just need to figure out which wire on the interior fuse box is the window control panel wire. I initially used a T-tap to connect to the parking brake wire, but that thing sucked and I really seemed like it damaged the wire some, so I'm probably going to use some Posi-taps to connect the wire this time, expensive but seems like an amazing way to tap into wires.

Maybe someone can chime in where to find the interior fusebox diagram in the FSM. I have looked through the 2010 Maxima full service manual, but can't seem to find the interior fusebox diagram anywhere
Any help would be appreciated.

I'll look at the FSM when I get the chance. I'm interested too. Btw, I can vouch for Posi-taps. They're worth every penny.
