Its time for a new axle back. My setup is a SS warpspeed y, stock cat, Stillen ss b-pipe with a 18" magnaflow 4" round muffler/resonator. Then I was just running a stock muffler bolted to the larger b-pipe. Muffler rusted through and I want to add a magnaflow muffler. Looking at a 2.5 inlet/outlet. Leaning towards the 5x8 case over the 4x9 (larger surface area/volume for sound control) But the question is should I go with the 14 or 18" case length? Stock muffler gave a good tone at idle but I can live with something a tad louder but hopefully without drone and no rasp. I could just stick another stock muffler on and not have to weld up a section from b-pipe to muffler but I want to complete the exhaust in ss and I can never leave enough alone hahah. Overall just looking for more tone without the rasp or drown or overly loud, thats what my truck is for.

 

Went with the larger 5x8 with a 18" case. 2.5" ss piping. Sounds good. tad louder in car then id prefer for this car but its only when youre accelerating. Cruising its barely noticeable.

 

5" x 11" 12576 will fit! The bigger the better!!!!! At least when it comes to mufflers!
