Anyone ever break /chip a headlight?

This may save some of you a few bucks. I got a serious chip (rock hole) in one of my headlights last year. The price of the assembly was well over $100 (about $130, I recall). It turns out that almost all states and insurance companies cover this under glass coverage. This assumes you have comprehensive coverage on your policy.

This works since the Max's headlights are glass and not composite (plastic). I got a check for the part (they would have even paid to have the shop install it), no points against my insurance and no deductible fee.

Tuck this one away in your head...

I'm not sure on the fog lamps. Worth a call to your insurance though.

happened to me and I bought another assembly off a guy on ebay for my other Maxima. It cost me like $30.
