Jerking upon slow acceleration

Okay.... problem #3 already. 653 miles on the car. The car jerks back and forth when I start off. It jerks only from a standing start or when I am going about 5-10 mph. It doesn't do it all the time. Any thoughts?

Very strange, but you're under warranty so why not just bring it into the dealer??

My 2014 does not have that issue. No idea, but am curious, what were the other two problems? Oh.... just read your posts. I remember, the monkey in the trunk.

It happens when it's cold or warmed up

Yeah right! That monkey turned out to be a bad right rear strut

Nothing for nothing, 600 miles on car, especially a bad strut and now an possible engine/tranny problem. Sounds like the dealer owns this one and gives you another to replace it!!

Is the CEL on? Maybe just a misfire. Check and see if the boots are sitting properly on the spark plugs or maybe a possible bad coil.

I had a car one time before and it was the MAS air flow sensor malfunction it wouldn't open or close right and would starve the engine and would buck (annoying right )? I would bet it's something associated with that . Let us know what the stealership says .

I'm no mechanic but it sounds like you have a bad flux capacitor. I heard the 2014 models have problems generating the 1.21 gigawatts needed to power our cars. I believe there's a TSB covering this is.

All Back to the Future jokes aside, it's a shame you're having so many problems with only 600miles on your max. I'd suggest going back to the dealer to inquire about a new car. If that fails, perhaps you should contact your Nissan rep for your territory. Good luck guy!

Even if the dealer gave him another one it would probably have issues. Sad to say but the build quality of these vehicles leaves a lot to be desired. The support provided by many dealers and especially Nissan corporate is pretty disappointing also. You do not have to spend very much time browsing this forum to see that.

As an example, just hope that your power steering pump does not fail because if it does it will probably take 4 weeks for your dealer to find a replacement. Just before the lemon law starts to kick in.

This is coming from someone who bought a 2014 sport/tech 3 months ago. I traded in my 16 year old 98 SE for the 2014. The 98 was a solid vehicle. I would have kept driving it if not for the rust.

The 2014 will be the last Nissan product that I purchase. Maybe the other manufacturers are not much better but I doubt that they are any worse.

Like many have said, with so many problems at 600 miles I would definitely Lemon Law it because things can only get worse.

TBH the manufacturor if rarely ever te problem. The problem really is the dealership you deal with because some are all about the customer satifaction while others only care about commission and the money they can rack in from servicing. Again sorry for your problems but if I were you and spent close to $30000 on any car I would be very adamant about the Lemon Law. The dealer won't take as much of a loss as you will for financing a Lemon..

Thanks for all your replies and suggestions. It takes 3 tries for the dealership to correct a defect in 24 months before I could declare the Lemon Law here in Florida. I hope it doesn't come to that, that means a lot of aggravation. I will be going to the dealer sometime this week and I'll post what the problem is, assuming they find something. Hopefully it's just a sensor but the CEL isn't on.

When problems, such as taillight condensation, have been occurring with the 7th Gen since 2009 and the problem still occurs in 2014's. Nissan corporate is at fault. When you call Nissan corporate because your dealer has not fixed your problems. And the only thing that corporate does is suggest you go to another dealer..... duh. Than corporate is a problem. The dealer does not build, select vendors or perform QC on the vehicle the manufacturer does. I would blame Nissan for the OP's problems not the dealer.

Maybe the other manufacturers are not much better but I doubt that they are any worse.

I hope things work out well and am curious how it will be resolved. Lets hope they don't say that it's just normal operation. The dealers do that a lot, especially when it's a major repair or they don't have a clue.

In that case you are absolutely right but some dealers will only find problems when you're out of warranty and that was my point.
