Im not sure which it is or what is causing it. But every time i Start the car up, turn the ac/heat on or have my subs turned up, my car will start squealing. Replaced the alt about a year ago, it squealed before that to so im hoping its not that. Anyone have any clue what it could be.

 

Ugh, change or tighten the belt?

 

Quick question to this. is the tensioner supposed to move a little, like wobble?

Mine was doing the same thing with the sqeek sound tighten and went away but I did notice that it wobbles some when the car is at idle

 

I changed the belt when i replaced the alt. And after i replaced the alt, i can hear a pully moving

 

No wobble. The idler pulley bearing may be going bad. Around $30 at local parts store.

 

The belt probably needs to be tightened.

 

spray a little bit of liquid wrench on the belt. if the squeak goes away, its the belt itself. if it persists, spray liquid wrench on the pulleys where the bearings are. whatever one goes quiet with liquid wrench on it is the culprit

tensioner should not have wobble either
