3.5 swap fuel rail adapter

I am doing the 3.5 swap and I have a question about the fuel rail.

Below is the stock VQ35DE fuel rail. It is fuel returnless.

To make the above fuel rail return fuel would it be okay to use this little blue adpater I have?

Notice that the two side of the fuel rail are connected at the side where the fuel regalators are at. Given that the two side of the fuel rail are connected near the fuel regulators could I use the above blue adapter to make the fuel rail work with the 3.5 swap?

Thanks

You got some more reading to do.

That looks like an 02-03 rail.

The 4th gen 3.5 swap uses a return style set up.

You will either need a t adapter, a fpr that allows it, or you can get creative and take off the factory fpr from the other side of the 3.5 rail and make that into your return side. Grey99max has his set up the last way I described iirc.

I have an aftermarket fpr that got rid of the t adapter and another fpr I used to have; some cheap eBay crap destined for the trash.

The aeromotive works fine, but the 02-03 rail "mod" sounds like a good idea.

Schmellyfart has his set a bit different.
Maybe check out his thread..

the fuel rail that the blue adapter is on is from a 02-03. However I am not using the 02-03 fuel rail. I am using the VQ35DE fuel rail from a 3.5 2004 Altima.

My question is. Can I put that blue adapter on the 2004 3.5 Altima fuel rail and make it act like a return style fuel rail?

Thanks

Yes you can. However I can only speak for using the DE-K FPR, I've never tried the VQ35DE FPR.
