Yet another radiator fan question for today!

Recently i have noticed that when my temp gets high enough to kick the radiator fans on, the passenger side fan gives a good squeek/squeel for about 3 seconds, now i know its not a big deal really..but is that a symptom of a bearing starting to crap out in the fan? im just trying to not find out the hard way(90 degree traffic failure)..if it is starting to go id rather change it now before im in traffic and have an issue! im not familiar with the fans, i havent ever had to change them in any vehicle , but do people sometimes spray some kind of oil or something on them to stop the squeeal, or is that a NO NO?
thanks!

Yes, it could be the bearing on the way out. Spin both fans by hand. Do they spin the same? Do they spin equally freely and without resistance? Does the passenger one have any shaft play or wobble to it? If so, just buy one new fan, or pick up a good used one from Maxima_Joe or someone else parting out a car. Lubricating it with WD-40 or the like is just a temporary band aid.

This is what your radiator fan probably looks like inside.

You could probably find one in a wrecking yard in better condition. They will have a battery you could test it with. Id be surprised if it cost more than $10.00.
