Damn, spotted one on Saturday night going north on I-5. Kept close until he had an open stretch and he zoomed from 60 to probably 90 in a flash! This was scary. Heh, I was a passenger so I dunno how a Max would compare accelerating at that speed, but boy that baby could fly. I guess I just never get to see a speed demon fly by, but this was impressive to me, at least. :P

It was a nice blue Skyline, not sure what model or anything, couldn't tell too much at night. License plate was xxx-LMM I believe.

Yo, you are from Seattle???I am from there..yeah i know who owns that skyline..a performance shop in Chinatown, one of the owner Jack owns another one (Black) bought it used, imported from Japan(dont' know how they did it) but it is street legal..

speaking of blue skyline, he bought it from motorex (a company that imports skyline in CA) for like 60k...but i heard it's not all that fast, ..considering all the craps they had to do it to make it emission legal in US..he raced with a NSX(old model) i think it's 92 year..and didnt' impress the driver in NSX(who happens to be my friend's car).......

And i saw his car at school(UW) too..sure it looked hella nice..but i would not consider that car is a fast car..even though it has twin turbo...when it was imported into US..it becomes slow twin turbo cars..

the two skylines i believe are R34s. maybe one is a R34 and the other a R33. both RHD (DUH!). from what i was told, one was imported "improperly" and the other a motorex.

The black one, it's Jack's car (one of the owners of Ultraspeed) in Chinatown..snoppy guy (it's the guy with turbocharged automatic mirage, which was featured on turbo magazine i think, totally looks like lancer revolution--Taiwanese body kit, got turbocharged up in vancouver, Canada.....hell loud, dont' know how his auto tranny handled the turbo, maybe it was messed up that's why it was on sale for 25k i believe..

The blue skyline guy, i see his car all the time right down the street of U-District in Seattle for those who knows---

well, yeah the NSX owner is actually the owner of R-Sports(performance shop ) in Bellevue, WA I buy most of the stuff from him and he does my installation..he told me he raced with him briefly on street and didnt' impress him at all...hahahahahahah all that 60k is for looks-----go figure

As far as how fast does it REALLY goes..who knows.maybe next time i see his car on the street, i would go up and scratch his car saying----HOW FAST IS YOUR SKYLINE????

Heh, cool dudes. Anyone else around live in Seattle, too?

I just never see peeps around gunning it on the highway, so as we were going 65/70, whatever they were doing seemed way fast.

Wustylez - what kinda Max do you have? And what have you done to it?

how can it be not very tuneable? it's a damn twinturbo
actually every car is tuneable and can go fast if you shell out the money, it's just cheaper to do the turbo ones.

60k for looks?! What do you call an NSX? 78k for looks. The NSX-T only get's like 210 rwhp. I saw one last night get ate up by a 95 Impala SS. I mean ate up and spit out. Oh yeah, it barely has more torque than the new Max, 224-217. So much for that idea, but if he could keep his eyes on it long enough to be unimpressed then I guess the Skyline was pretty slow. Oh well.

1) NSX-T has more than 210RWHP.
the 3.0L usually dyno at 225-230RWHP.
the 3.2L usually dyno at ~245hp.

2) $78k is not just for looks.
When Honda made this car, the main target is to have a Ferrari like car that's drivable everyday. Mid engine, all aluminum body, 8000 redline, 13's stock in 1/4, and more importantly, you can drive it everyday and all it needs is oil change.

3) Sure it doesn't have much more torque than Max, but it is more than 1 sec faster in 1/4m, right? same as 300M, which has more HP and torque than Max but it's much slower, right?
So it's really not about what hp/tq it has on paper, it's more of how much it puts to the ground.

4) Like it or not, a R34 isn't all that big of deal stock, 13.7, that's on par with my 240hp I6 NO-TURBO M roadster.
