For a 2k2 Maxima. Just recently bought the car, it was missing the power steering reservoir cap. I seriously can't find this anywhere. Local dealer didn't even have it. Couldn't find it in a salvage yard either. Can't believe this little piece of plastic cannot be found, lol. Anyone got one?

Don't buy stuff like that from the dealer, they will charge you an insane amount for those plastics when you can get them cheaper at a salvage yard. I also doubt nissan would sell that cap separately and force you to buy the entire reservior.

I would suggest you try and search a different salvage yard. Those items are so small and inexpensive it would not be worth it for anyone to send you one, unless they are doing a part out (search for a 5th gen part out as well in the classifieds section).

In your picture about I am not sure what nissan calls it but its just a plastic cover.

 

Yeah man, I spent all of today scouring salvage yards about an hour and a half away from where I live, and not one had even a 5th gen Maxima. Tons of older Maximas though but obviously the cap wouldn't fit from those...unless I can take the entire reservoir from one of those cars and replace the one currently in mine? Idk if that's possible.

Pretty frustrating! I'm tired of having to purchase fluid and refill every few days haha. I even went to a salvage yard specifically for Infiniti/Nissan. What gives?!

Every single one of them said something like this, "No, sorry we don't have that. Maybe you can try Joe Schmoe's Salvage Yard down the street!"

I'll look for a part-out, but holy crap, it seems like I'm gonna have to pay the 35 bucks for the entire reservoir just for the cap at the dealer. I really, really don't want to - but with what I paid in gas today, I could've just had the reservoir lol.
