Suspension Advice needed (eibach)

Hi All,

I recently put 20's on my 2011 SV Maxima http://www.str-racing.com/wp-content...07-BLK-MMF.jpg and bought the http://www.andysautosport.com/produc..._6392.140.html and I would like to know if replacing the stock with the ones above will cause wear and tear on the CV Joints.

Thanks in Advance!

No issues. They aren't low enough to need to worry about.

Thanks for the feedback bro. I was wondering the same thing. I was lowered on teins on my 6th gen with no problems at all through 120k. On my Lexus 3GS I was dropped 1 inch and had a cv boot leak issue within 30k so this is great to hear from you guys that have been doing it.

Eibach is so minor I doubt you'll eat through CV boots

I've had the same setup for over a year with zero issues.

Thanks All! Just put them on today, set me back about 800 bucks eibach + installation and aligned. I will wash the car tomorrow and post the pics. It does look nice with the 20's on the car.

Thanks!

That is a steep install price man but I am glad you got it done. sounds like they charged you $450 for install assuming the alignment cost was $100 and the springs cost $250.

Wow I def I need to open a shop, I paid $225 for the install, also it's better to wait a few weeks to get an alignment....as long as your happy that's all that matters though

You hit the nail on the estimates. It sucks down here in Charleston SC, there are no custom car shops other than moms and pops shops. I called in a few places around the town and could not find anything satisfying. I wanted to make sure that the shop at least had done work on suspensions before.

As far as alignment goes, I have lifetime alignment on the car I paid 160 bucks. I can go in a month and check out the alignment again.

One Question: Since I put the new wheels and tires on the car, the damn car just gets dirty much faster. I think the tires may be slightly wider than the fenders. I will post the pictures as soon as I clean it today.

Thanks guys!

If that is the case, then it sounds like you have a really aggressive offset. There is nothing wrong with that if you like how the wheels stick out, but that's a preference thing.

While I was trying to park (usually park with rear end on the drive way) i heard the noise from the springs as if they moved when i was driving forward and turned the wheel to prep the car for parking. Is that expected behavior, or the spring coils should not be moving (make any noise) under any circumstance. I never heard that with the stock springs.

I'm not a mechanic and you can check with other folks on the board, but in my experience with noise randomness that sounded like it could be a spring was in fact rear sway bar bushings that were either failing or needed to be further tightened down.
