I just tried to install my racingline FSTB today and I had a difficult time aligning the screws with the holes. When I finally aligned it, the bar wasn't sitting flat over the holes? Especially the holes where the factory bar is attached.
Another thing... is the bar supposed to be touching the engine??? Even before I tightened the screws to secure the bar down it was already slightly touching the engine.
I was so frustrated I sent a really nasty email to customer service. I'm really thinking about returning the RL STB to buy a Stillen one
When I did install my front struts bar one of the brackets had a hole that was misaligned, I bored the hole and made it work. I would either contact them and ask for a replacement or second not try at all at installimg it and send it back because it'll do nothing for performance on our cars

Pictures would help us here.
RL is one guy, so I hope you didn't burn your bridges.
Definitely burned that bridge lmao
I did send a nicer email to customer service again today asking if I could exchange for rear sway bar instead.
Here are the pictures anyways though:

Yeah, I see that there is a factory bar there already so the STB probably doesn't do much.

Yes the racingline bar sits about a 1/4 of an inch above the engine. When I did have mine installed for the short periodof time I used washers to raise it about 1/4 having 1/2 inch gap....
I have mine installed for a year now and to install it was tricky but it can be done, as for a gap above the engine there is one (I did not install any washers)and my engine is not touching the bar ever. Over all good product

Yes some no issue, I hoever could feel it in throttle and I verified that when the engine shifted it was sliding across the bar, so at the time I i put some washers and that solved the issue, I drove the car felt no change and then on decided to take it off
I've had mine in for a while...no issues with it hitting the engine. Definitely a PITA to install. If I were to do it again, I would go the Stillen route. I did get it used for a good price though.
Checked mine today....I have more clearance than what's shown in the picture above.
Mines definitely not the right part then. There's not even the 1/4" clearance because I see some light scuff marks already, which I can imagine will only intensify when engine is running. Oh well...

Thanks everyone
loosen the 2 bolts that connect the bracket to the bar. Dont remove them, just loosen the nuts. Then either with your hand or a prybar ( anything that can wedge between really) place it between the bar the engine and push the bar up.
not with alot of force, but the holes on the bracket are larger than the bolt so the bar will lift higher in the bracket if gentle pressure is applied. This should create added clearance. Alternatively you can just pull up on the bar when the nuts are loose. this will add roughly 1/8 or more of clearance.
Mine definitely has more clearance than yours shows. I also had to use a large drill bit to bore out a couple of the mounting holes. Seemed slightly misaligned to me. No issues after the install. I feel no difference at all. It's been on for over a year now. Looks pretty nice though.
