Hey all I plan on purchasing a maxima in the near future. I have been looking at all 7th gen models one thing I have noticed is that on some gauges where the speed is its lit up really nicely in like a white light and then below that where it tells you information it is again a nice crisp white lettering. And then in others it is like a dull red.

Do you guys know what you have to buy to make sure you get the white over the red lettering?

Im not talking about in the 7inch display screen I know to get the colored screen you need the tech package I am talking about the gauges and where it shows how many miles your car has on it. Im wondering if it was just a certain year they changed that over or what. Thanks guys/gals

 

also is there anywhere that I can find all the different changes they made to the car between the 09 model to the 2014 model would be really nice to be able to compare across the bored.

 

2013 and up has white lcd guages screens

My '12 had the white lettering. Coincidental it's the same year they did the tinted tail lights.

 

My '12 LE has white lettering as well.

 

2012-14 has the white info screen and mileage screen. 09-11 has the orange screens.

 

Does anyone know the different changes they made to the models between 2012 and 2014? Plan on buying between those years because I want the white lettering and either sports and tech package or tech and premium package

 

I have a 2013 Maxima and the information screen went blank. I came across this forum while researching the problem and followed the instructions.
THANKS for posting the repair proceedures. This was a super easy fix and now it works now for the first time in 6 months.
My next project is to fix the brake warning light, traction light and master warning light. They come and go intermittantly.
I'm going to be selling the car (northern CA.) as soon as I can get the warning lights fixed.

 

Bake fluid level is probably low. Check that.
