Hi Everyone,
trying something new for our 2009 Maxims with the factory 19" rims. Have been trying to find better all season tires, currently General GMax 03.
But looking at the Michelin Latitude Tour HP in a 245/45 19V tire. According to the dealer you can up one aspect ratio. The one inch difference is split between top and bottom so there shouldn't be any rubbing issues. I'm to old to be a spirited driver looking more for better winter traction and maybe some more rim protection. My 16 year old daughter will be driving the car some
Also the main reason I am looking at the tire us because Tire Rack has them marked down to 108.00/tire, most places have them at $250ish.

I have Falken PT 722's on mine. They're all season tires that I bought for the heat and occasional rain I experienced when I lived in California for 18 months. I used them in the winter on my last Maxima, a 2003 SE and they did fine.

The only complaint I have with them is that on grooved roads, (construction area roads) they get noisy and very easily follow the groove which makes you have to work to keep the car straight.

So far I've had them on the car for 13 months and drove 30k miles and they still have a lot of tread left.

 

For my stockers, I run the Continental Control Contact Sport A/S. Very happy with them.

There's a thread in the tire subforum for all-season tires specifically for winter use. I've used Continental's DWS here in the Seattle snow season a few years past. My 2002 was able to go up/down some hills and get me back to home without any issues.

 

I'm currently running into the same issue.. I just got rid of my winter set because I sold an Infiniti that I used to have and the buyer didnt want the 370z rims i had on there so would running 245/50/19 be a bad idea, especially since the old rims for the winter were smaller and added more mileage then i actually had. So using this size permanently might do me some good. What's the consensus??
