The fluid level is accurate but the transmission will shift real hard between 1st & 2nd gear especially from a complete stop. All other gears shift smoothly and without issue. Hoping someone can give me some direction as to what is happening and if it can be fixed. Thanks in advance.

 

Could be the drop resistor mounted in the driver side shock tower...

 

Can you tell me what the drop resistor assembly does? How does this effect the shifting of the transmission? what are the symptoms of a bad drop resistor?
