I recently replaced the MAF in my 95. The new MAF has a smaller diameter, 3 3/8", than the old one. Even though part numbers 31U05 (removed) and 31U00 (replacement) are recommended, they are both now the smaller diameter. The original MAF had a diameter of about 3 5/8" which gave it a very tight seal when clamped down. I can't find the larger MAF anywhere. Has anyone been able to find the larger diameter MAF.?

 

You have it all wrong. 22680 31U05 A36-608 E61 is the new updated maf and the 22680 31U00 A36-608 E61 is the old one that came originally installed with all 4th gen's. Both of those Mafs are the same in every way and are identical. You must have some other issues. I have used both of them and there all the same.
