Has anyone ever bypassed the Crossover on the Bose Sub?

My crossover has ceased to function in my '03 GLE and I was hoping to bypass it altogether, but don't know how so I figured I would wait. If anyone has any tutorial or what wires to put where I would really appreciate it.

Wire Descriptions:
+12v
Positive
Negative
Ground
B+

Based on you giving 5 wires on this thing you are calling a crossover, I suspect that you are referring to the woofer. It is not a crossover, it is a speaker amplifier for the woofer. You cannot bypass this thing to make it work.

If I have guessed correctly, this says that you have sound coming out of the speakers in the doors, but no bass.

Do you have 12 volts on the red wire going to the B+ connection? This comes from a fuse under the hood by the battery.

What usually happens is that inside this amplifier is a relay that gets energized and then supplies power to the printed circuit board inside. This relay is prone to bad solder connections that keep this relay from working. Remove the woofer amplifier and resolder the relay.

Here are some links to threads on doing this:

Dennis is right about the relay. I've done it on my 00 and my 02 with great results. Some of the pics in the links are no longer hosted though.

Here's another link where I added new pics of the job on an 01-03 sub.
