Need some help im about to loose my **** on this car.

ok here is my problem, when the car is cold driving down the road it down shifts and up shifts about 10-20 times. after its warm it will only do it a few times 5-10. when this is all goin on the P light blinks on th A/T switch and with everything i have read about this problem i have gone through and replaced trans fluid and filter, tps, cleaned all grounds under the hood and all plugs on the tranny along with the TCM and ECU oh and i got a new A/T switch. so is there something im missing or is it looking like im going to need to get a new tranny. any help or ideas would be great. thanks

car is a 92 se auto

sounds like you either have a slipping transmission or your valve body (solenoids) are sticking or something is stuck in the passages of the VB.

regardless what is the main problem it sounds like you'll need to drop the VB and if you have some miles on the unit it's rebuild time.

Would it be worth a try to do a full tranny flush or should I just go right to the VB rebuild

I would take it to a transmission shop, they are able to see if the solenoids are slipping or if the bands are slipping. It will atleast give you a better idea on whats going on.

it's worth a shot but like Steve mentioned it's best to visit a local shop and see what they think.

What sucks is pretty much any shop is going to say "yup, needs a full rebuild". Kind of like if you go to a shop for any AC issues. Nine times out of ten they'll tell you "yup, compressor is shot - needs a full AC replacement. That'll be a grand please." Sad state of affairs at shops these days unfortunately.
