VQ35DE & Lucas

Is it OK to use Lucas in these engines? I got an '03 VQ35DE w/ 112k miles. We're all aware of the famous oil consumption issue with these engines, was recommend by someone to give Lucas a try, thought I'd ask here first.

Also, if anyone does, what kind of oil do you use? And what ratio of Lucas would be good?

Thank you!

How much oil are you burning? A 40wt can help. I'm not a fan of those oil additives.

Enough to have to replenish/check on oil at least once/twice a week. It also has a rear main seal leak, unfortunately. I'm not a fan of additives either, but if it keeps things going a little longer, I wouldn't mind it.

Lucas is snake oil.

If there's not puddles of oil under that thing, then it's just burning it, there's a good chance the cats are bad, and there's where the massive consumption comes from.
