Sway bars, yes or no?

Just bought a 97 GXE and was wondering if adding a sway bar to the engine compartment and one at the rear delivers any real cornering pluses? Anyone that has done this on a Gen4 please advise. Many thanks.

This has been done many times. Adding a rear sway bar will give you the most noticeable improvement. There is a front sway bar on the car already, but getting a stiffer one will also help. Nissan but a stiffer sway bar on the SE model.

When talking about the engine compartment, you mean a Front Strut Tower Bar (FSTB).

So, are you asking about strut bars or sway bars? Two different things, very different locations.
