Gurgle noise?

Anyone experience a gurgling noise from the drivers side engine bay?

Kinda sounds like it's coming from the transmission or near the starter area..

My transmission fluid is leaking.. Not sure from where yet.

Could be coolant circulating through your heater core/system.

Find your trans vent hose ... it's the open rubber hose (molded hose) sticking up near the driver's end of the front valve cover, near the trans dip stick.

I stole this photo from someone else's thread but it should look something like this:

Ok that sounds like a piece metal rattling on the exhaust, possibly heat shield on your precats. Or a loose bracket vibrating in that area.

Id have to disagree.. This gurgle/rattle sounds as if somethings loose and bouncing around somewhere..

It comes and goes.. Never constant.. And only appears once the vehicles warmed up..

Weird shy-ist!

Maybe you got some gerbals running around in there lol! maybe a bolt got dropped in your engine and is pinging around by the valves.

I hear a rattle, not a gurgle.

Gurgle would be coolant related. Also would come from the other side of the engine.

I think you might be right.. Had the tech replace these gaskets before they put the motor in..

Actually I asked for them to do whatever's needed maintenance wise before they drop the motor in..

I've realized the only time **** gets done right is when I do it myself..

I have to agree (and it may just be your video) that it sounds like a rattle and not a gurgle. "Gurgle" implying liquid.

In your video it honestly sounds (and I'm not saying this is the issue) like an unsecured brake line rattling against the master cylinder.

The noise showing up after the car has been warmed makes sense for a rattle to appear since all of the mounts and such will become softened and "loose" and components can shift just a tad.

Upon further investigation today I have found exactly where this gurgle is coming from..

Not sure what it's purpose is or what it connects to but it's making the annoying noise and spitting out a liquid.. The liquid I believe is water..

It was a PITA to get a pic but here's what I got.. Hope someone can tell me what this is and why it's making noise/spitting water..

The noise is located below this part of the engine bay.

The end is plastic and open. Further down it turns into a metal tube/pipe..

That looks like the transmission vent hose. it is not connected to anything. It confuses many people.

There are two small coolant hoses under the throttle body. Are they leaking?

My transmission vent line is up front between my intake plumbing/battery... This must be something else..

Small coolant lines coming off the radiator into the trans have been replaced while I was replacing my radiator..

When I replaced my motor I ran the trans Vent line here..
