Speaker Sizes

May someone list ALL the speaker sizes (and optional sizes if any) for the Bose setup. I know we have Crutchfield, but they have been know to not be accurate from time to time.

I second that request since I'm going to upgrade my SL's audio system.

Not sure why crutchfield Is so far off. I've had the whole car apart and You have many options for speakers. Now, you may have to make slight modifications for some aftermarket speakers but I had no issues installing my system.

Front doors - 6x9, 6x8, (will drop right in), 6 1/2"(made a plate to adapt) and if your really handy, I bet you could put 8" in the doors. My only problem has been sound deadening the doors. I have high end Focal speakers running 100 watts RMS in the doors and even after putting dynamat everywhere I still get a weird buzz from the skins on certain songs.

Dash - 3 1/2" nothing else. I didn't install anything in the dash as it's not the best place to put a speaker. Instead, I opted to put the tweeters in the top of the doors.

Rear door - they have a 3 1/2 in there, but with modifications, you'll go bigger. I don't have anything there because it's so low and not an ideal spot for a speaker.

Rear deck - 6x9 6x8 will drop right in. I made a plate to adapt a 6 1/2" again if you wanted to put an 8", in there it wouldn't take much modding.

The openings are all the same regardless of the trim package. The differing sizes of speakers in the dash are because the Bose system has tweeters in the door. Sorry I didn't see that part of your question

Any sub woofer worth a darn wouldn’t fit in any door. Since the max is a sporty grocery getter, I put a decent pre built Fosgate sub in the trunk with a quick disconnect in case I need more room. FYI, have not had to take the sub out once in two years.

are the rear 6x9's 2 or 3 way speakers? I am looking to get some more low end without installing speakers in the trunk.

Anyways, on my 18 sv (without the bose system) the front door and rear seat speakers say max inout 50w. I find this interesting that the bose is saying less wattage. Again, I speak out of ignorance a bit, but still find it curious

From what I can tell they are just 2 way. I recently installed a pair of 12's in the trunk. With them loosening up I'm needing something to fill the upper lows with a tighter punch. I was thinking a pair of 8's in the rear deck provided it doesn't involve cutting the deck. I'm using audio control high to low converter and I already have everything there to install another amp. Just trying to figure out what would fit

. I have a 13 sv sport package. My Bose and I have not touched it has 3 4inch on dash, 2 6x9 in doors, 2 6.5 in rear doors and I am almost certain 2 9inch subs. All stock so not sure where all these other senerio's people are giving but that's what my stock bose system has
