transmission slow shifting into second...

been noticing the trans not kicking up into second sometimes even after she's warmed up. auto, i thought i was slipping on slush or ice last night when she just whined and i finally took my foot off the gas and then she went over into second. doesn't feel like it's slipping, more like it's not responding properly to acceleration. i will be checking fluid level and color later on today. transmission sensor maybe?

I can't remember if you replaced the resistor (like a lot of us did) last year?

yes i did do that, dealer is saying its the solenoid in trans and no service done on regular intervals. i replaced the trans 4-5 years ago and had all new fluid done then with dextron 3. trans had 90,000 miles on it then and now has 130,000, maybe 140,000?

It could be a sticky solenoid.

i drove it today with no issues, checked the fluid and it's clear, not burnt. think i might be a tad low on the stick, where should it be, in between the cross hairs or at the top when it's warm? haven't thought about it in awhile.
