Audio System Question

HI all. My Maxima is a 98 that I received from my aunt after wrecking my Honda Insight over a year ago.
When I received it, it came with broken antenna, and an aftermarket single din Pioneer radio. I swapped out the Pioneer with the Dual unit from my Honda as it had Bluetooth radio.

I am 100% positive that everything else in the cars audio system is stock. However, one or two speakers sound blown as I hear spits and rattles. I found a Bose stock double din radio from a 99 thanks to a member on here.

Will the '99 Bose work with my '98 stock system? Like I said, only thing replaced was the head unit. Everything else should be stock and complete.

I'm old school and don't need anything fancy, I just want the Bose system to sound as good as it did when new.

Yes, it will work, assuming you have Bose speakers etc. Not all 4th gen Maximas have the upgraded Bose system.

I'll be checking the speakers. I'm pretty sure they are stock.
I originally wanted to go all out and replace the speakers with aftermarkets amp, and subwoofer, but decided to restore the car and go original. Plus, I'm sure when working properly, the Bose system sounds good enough. I want a good booming system, but nothing obnoxious.

Would knowing the trim model of my car help?

Thank you!

If it helps, my car is an SE with Premium Sound. At least that's what's listed on my Carfax that I got from aunt.

More than likely you have it, but go look at the speakers to be sure. Not sure about the front speakers, but I believe the rear deck speakers have a Bose emblem on the grill.
