Do I just need a seal + bearing?

Most aftermarket have build in wheelbearing with the seal. I only go with oem Nissans. If you think and like moog they are good. The other brand i heard of was named timko.

NSK (link above) are who Nissan uses for bearings. They are OEM.

Yes you need separate seals, both sides, per wheel, and while you're at it, new retainer clips. Just like in the kit above.

Bearings for our Maximas DON'T come with built in seals, so don't make yourself crazy looking for them.

The wheel bearing and the seals come together when you buy a whole wheel hub bearing assembly. I tryed Nissan and they use to sell the whole assembly. Nissan now are cutting back on all of our parts.

For 4th Gen Maximas..........

The only assemblies are for the back. The front bearings get pressed into the steering knuckles (No place for any assembly in there) and the retainer clips keep them in position centered in the knuckle. Then the seals are pressed into both outer edges of the steering knuckle. The hub assembly gets pressed in after the steering knuckle is completed. The Hub and Wheel Studs make up the hub assembly.

If you bought a complete Nissan "Assembly".... That would be a new steering knuckle, backing plate, bearings, retainer clips, seals, hub assemblies, steering stop bolt and plastic cap, ABS sensor and applicable bolt. Approaching well over $1K each side.

Research before you post. Shooting from the hip hurts others when it misses.

Maybe you mean kit and if you click on the kit link I posted above, it might make some sense.

I looked at your link and when I mean, I bought the whole assembly it was new with everything. The thing was freaking expensive because it was new with everything ready to go. I am only talking about the front assembly's. If you go and buy from napa they got all the assembly ready to go. The whole assembly with the knuckle steering included that can be found on off a junk yard car. The whole hub assembly with bearing and knuckle with seals are sold at the stores like advance and Nissan ready to go.

I'm glad I asked. Thanks for all the input!
I bought new seals (2 per bearing) and bearings. Both are NSK.
Can't find the snap rings that keep it all together tho. Is that a dealer only item??

The snap ring would be found at the dealership. The other place you wanna check is at Napa they should be close to dealership parts.

Yes, as long as there is NO damage or fatigue. The eBay link I posted above comes with bearings, seals and snap rings for both sides. Can't beat the price and bought from them twice with great service.

NSK is OEM, BTW.
