How to tell if ANC works

I have a 2017 SL which should have ANC Active Noise canceling.
How do you know if it works? Should I notice when its working? On my car I don't really notice anything at all, doesn't really sound any different, so I wonder if it even works at all.

There's a hidden menu that I believe has settings to enable/disable that feature. You can read about how to find it in this thread
