Cruise not working

Cruise not working

This could be ignorance on my part but the cruise does not work on my 95 Maxima.I push the dashboard button,light comes on but it starts to slow.Tried hittting resume/accel on wheel and no response.

Do you press the "set" button after activating cruise on the dash ? Plus you need to be going over 25 MPH, or some minimal speed before cruise will work. Then, when you hit the brake pedal or clutch pedal, cruise will deactivate, and then you can use resume to get to your old speed.

Check any other electrical controls on the steering wheel (horn, stereo controls). If they don't work, you probably need to replace the clock spring.
