Lets play, Guess the UDP!

So i bought this over a decade ago and need to replace the bronze bushing that makes contact with the front main seal. Trying to see if anyone recognizes it because ive been searching for the maker of this for over six months and cant find it.
Anyone knows who made it?

Silly question - is that the main crank pulley / harmonic balancer?

Why is the front main seal pressed that far up on the pulley? Looks like you might just need a new front main seal pressed into the timing cover.

I've never seen those brass bushings for the pulley sold separately. If that part really is bad, you will probably need to bite the bullet and buy a new pulley.

oh, i was putting the main seal on to see if it binds, and it does. since i had a hard time finding the maker, i installed a redisleeve, and even though its very thin, its too large for the front main seal. More than likely im going to put the OE back on and either have someone machine a new bushing or replace with another UDP.

No idea who made it, but take a magnet and make sure that whatever its made out of has iron in it. I remember spending like a year fighting with one of my 4th gens trying to figure out why it wasnt running great to discover that the previous owner installed a crank pulley that the crank sensor was not reading correctly.

You an still pick up crank pulleys for cheap:

I bought a dorman one about 4 years ago and it's running great still. Not sure about the brands that RockAuto has but it should be fine!

I'll weigh it tonight. I bought it many years ago, maybe even more than 10. If i remember correctly it was the first production of an UDP. I thought it was Unorthodox but i cant seem to find anyone else with it. I would like to keep it, but if i don.t replace the bushing it will keep leaking.

No problems with the sensor, its just leaking and i'm rebuilding the motor so i want to take care of it before installing it.

I've been using eBay pulleys from TomsAuto for years without issue.
