Hids in factory projector housings

Hi, I'm new here. I just purchased a 2011 Maxima with the halogen projectors. Looking at replacing with hids or a good led. Do I need any kind of cancelled with an aftermarket hid kit? Thanks and I look forward to learning about the 7th Gens. I'm coming from an 03 Maxima GLE and boy what a difference!

Go to retrofitsource.com. You can enter your make and model there. That way you don’t have to question if it fits or not. I bought all my lighting from them. 5500k HID kit with a great warranty and top notch brand. Don’t do LED if you actually need good light output. I had LeD bulbs in my old maxima. Although they looked amazing, light output is not like HID at all. I work at night so I do a lot of night driving. Couldn’t be happier with my morimoto HID setup

Thanks, yes I'm familiar with TRS. Not wanting to spend that much money. I run the Innovited HIds in my Ram truck and they work well. Do I need just the hids and ballast or will I need a cancelled harness to?
