moonroof tilt not working & squeaky moonroof
Hello, recently picked up a 2012 Maxima SV with a panoramic moonroof, has a few issues to take care of.
One issue is the moonroof, it will open but it will not tilt at all, are there separate motors that control the slide & tilt? if not, is the switch the likely culprit?
Another is the moonroof squeak when I open it, and close it, and it doesn't seem to close 100%, there is a bit of wind noise when I close it.
Thanks in advance!

There are two motors but not sure which one controls which and multiple points where you can hear a squeak from. You can bypass the switch and pinpoint if it's the switch that's defective if you have a Power Probe tool to help diagnose it. Have someone look at it.
RF-79 one is for the shade, one of is for the panel, so it's either that the switch itself is malfunctioning, or the panel is not going into the fully closed position for it to tilt.
I'll yank the headliner out next weekend, and start looking at it
thanks

Solved the tilt issue .. had to train the auto open / close. Now it works properly now with auto open, close and pinch detection. Whew.
So two issues left, one I need to grease the track so it drops squealing when I open it.
2. There is a fair bit of wind noise when driving at 70mph coming from the back of the front glass panel. Is it possible to replace the liner?
