Removing a Maxima from a keyfob

So I own and i30 and a 98 Maxima both are on the same key fob. How do I remove the Maxima so when I open the trunk it doesn't pop the trunk on the other vehicle.

You could unplug the electrical connection to the solenoid at the trunk latch.

I ended up having a minor accident in the Infiniti so while I fixed it I bought a dirt cheap Maxima to drive. I programed the key fob to the Maxima in the meantime. Now I am stuck with two cars on the same fob which is stupid and annoying

Try doing the reprogram on the Maxima again, but this time don’t have the fob with you. Doing a reprogram should erase the stored code on the Maxima.

Easy. Remove the keyfob's battery for a few minutes. Once you replace the battery, it should need to be reprogrammed again. Happens to me all the time.

The only way to remove a keyfob from the car is to enter programming mode. Programming mode starts out by erasing all the keyfobs from memory. Then you will have to program in the keyfob(s) you want.
