Trunk wont open With Key..WTF

Ok so can anyone give me a clue to why I cant open my trunk using the key? I can pop the trunk from the inside using the button on my door, but cant go to the back and key in. 99Maximas only came with 1 key right?

I have the same problem with my 97. I have two keys that each work for the front doors and the ignition but neither will open the trunk.... I just learned to live with it.

The key cylinder in the trunk is seized up from lack of use. You can try spraying something like Liquid Wrench inside the key hole & from inside the trunk. I have the same issue & gave up on it.
