New struts making clunking noise when turning
Just installed full assembled struts from Amazon by a brand Detroit Axle on my 12’ Max, had good reviews overall.
I installed the 2 front struts n now it is making a clunking noise when I turn the steering wheel left and right, and I know it is coming from the struts, not the axle because it does it in park alone, it sounds like the spring is snapping or adjusting or grinding on something. I was wondering if there’s an alignment on the strut tower or anything related to alignment or maybe just a defective strut. But what do you guys think?
Everything was torqued correctly, 26 ft lbs on the strut tower bolts, 103 ft lbs on the 2 strut nuts.
