Best option for getting a new key FOB?

I bought a used 2018 Nissan Maxima that only had one key FOB. My local dealer wants $360 for new FOB and programming. Is there better options available? I have never done this before and those prices seem a little steep.

Will the locksmith have key fobs or should I order one online. I use Nissanpartsdeal.com to buy most stuff for my Nissans.

When you call a locksmith of your choice, ask "Do you have key fobs that will work with my 2018 Nissan Maxima?"

Then discuss price so you can compare prices with others.

I just purchased a new key fob and my local Nissan Dealer (Ken Ganley) charged me $299 for it. It is what it is. I just paid it and moved on with my life. It's ridiculous that it's this expensive but what can you do?

WIll need to get a Fob from the dealer... These cheap Ebay or Amazon ones ..sometimes don't have the right Transponder in them
Will need to bring all your keys in and will charge a fee to program 1 key or 20 keys..
Cost of key plus program.. looking at least $300 or more..

was the vehicle a CPO? If so, if I remember correctly in order to have it certified, there MUST be at least two keys and if not, it should be owed to you free of charge if you need one.

seeing that was STOLEN, I'd call that a "no".
I don't understand how a stolen vehicle loses BOTH of its keys in "less than a day".

A locksmith won't have these fobs, you have to order it online and a locksmith will cut and program these fobs.

Since there is no key in these fob's, locksmiths may not have them. Different than for my 2010 which had a key in the fob. I bought 2 of ebay and the locksmith showed up in my driveway and reprogrammed and cut the keys. Biggest problem was most of his batteries and mine were dead, I think we sorted thru about 5 batteries before finding working ones!

Locksmiths with the help of tools can make a new duplicate key by cutting the fobs. You can call locksmith newark for making a duplicate key or for any locking issue. They provide good services to their customers.
