So my girl has a 09 SV sport and the past few days her steering has been making a loud sound like dry bushing almost. I can’t figure out what it could be and don’t want to take the steering column apart because I have never done that before. It doesn’t always make that noise but when it does it’s sounds like the steering is about to break. I tried to show 2 different people and both times the car didn’t make the noise of course but the third person who saw it today heard it and thinks the column is worn out and rubbing. The fluid is full and there’s power in the steering so it’s hard to pinpoint the problem. Has anyone else had this issue I know my description of the sound it’s making isn’t the best

 

Mine does it when there are rocks stuck in the tread or lots of snow.
