Bungee Cord in Struts
Bungee Cord in Struts
Going on a kamikaze mission today to clean my wheel wells (flashlights were incurred at the half-way point) I discovered a bungee cord latched onto the front left wheel spring. It didn't look to be of any danger but it was disconcerting nonetheless. Is this an Org first?

Thanks, @95naSTA I think you are on the money because we had a handyman do the brake pads about six months ago. The Org always knows! He wasn't a brake guy or even a dedicated mechanic (but he's affordable!
) so I can see him doing a not-quite-perfect job.
Now I get to try out my new Certified-2-ton trolley jack. It will be on a board on top of the dirt, with another piece of wood on the jacking point. I'm thinking the reason I was having difficulty pulling it out was the weight of the car compressing things. Here's hoping my jack points aren't shot

Man, getting all of the caked on grime off the strut towers was a real job! I'm hoping to spray Fluid Film on much of the fenders - especially the nuts and bolts I see under there
. Just watch out with FF on rubber, though. If not oil-resistant rubber it can cause swelling.
