Question CVT drain plug washer?

Heya Max Fam!
I am about to do my first drain and fill of CVT fluid. Will also be swapping the CVT filter.
Does anyone know the part number or link to the right washer for 2010 Maxima CVT drain plug?
I was searching last night but kept getting the wrong parts.

The CVT holds roughly 10 quarts? I was thinking of doing it twice to get all the old fluid out 5 quarts at a time?
How long should I wait before the second drain and fill? Two weeks?

31526-1XA01 is the o-ring. I have also used one out of the Harbor Freight O-Ring Assortment Metric O-Ring Assortment, 397 Pc. (harborfreight.com) the last time I changed it.

If you want to get all the oil out you can always disconnect the return line from the filter and dump out a quart at a time. It really helps to have someone you trust to start and stop the car while doing this. But know it won't get it ALL out. But it is a one and done solution. I think you will be fine just draining the old and replacing the filter. If the fluid is still dark after doing the normal drain and fill and replacement of oil filter, only then would I drain again (but then you should change the filter again too!)

Which hose is the return line? The one that goes into top of cooler on radiator?

If you are changing the filter, the line coming from the radiator. Just remove that line and run the engine to dump a quart at a time. Don't do more than that at a time. It can be messy, but if you are dead set on getting the most "old" fluid out, this will do it. Be patient and careful.

LTLeary comments are bang on.

I've done a drain-fill and new filter every 50k, I am at 156k, and all is well, so you'll be fine if you do just that.

Like the LT said, you'll never get all of the old CVT fluid out, so don't get too wrapped up about that. If you do just a drain and fill with a new filter, then you are way head of the game. in fact, I would save your money on the 2nd drain. These cars, as you know, need regular maintenance.

Good luck.

Ok thanks for the input everyone! I will just save my $ and wait another 30-35K miles before I do another drain and fill.

That will work, I service both my 7th Gen Max's CVTs every 30k-35k and all has been well. Drain/fill and filter change.

Well the guys at the shop did my fluid and filter change and only charged me $70 for it!
It feels so much more responsive and smooth now! Also just got new NGK spark plugs installed at the same time and replaced my air filter a few days ago.
If they used a new washer they did not charge me for it. They prob just used the old one so I will keep the new one for next time I do a drain and fill.

Did they use genuine NS2 CVT fluid and change the filter? That's a good deal for that price.

They used the Idemitsu CVTF NS-2 fluid I gave them and I had the filter.

I been debating in my mind to use Idemitsu, but I overthink things so much that I'll never sleep worrying that I didn't use the genuine Nissan fluid. I wonder if others here on the org have had luck using aftermarket CVT fluid, these CVT's scare me.

Idemitsu is supposed to be the OEM manufacturer for Nissan. Of course Nissan does not make their own fluid. They buy it from them and put their own label on it and resell it for 2x the price.

I have seen quite a few people on here using Valvoline CVT fluid with no issues. I was thinking of using the new lubeguard CVT fluid next time as it is so much better than NS-2 on every one of their tests.
Amsoil is good but way overpriced.

Idk, I'm still too scared to attempt anything other than the Nissan NS2.

Thanks for this, Leary. Even my Dealership could not find this o-ring.
