How often to change motor oil? And which filter?

Noob question I guess. I drive mostly short city trips, with one long trip on the highway per week, which puts me in schedule 1 in the manual, which says to change every 3 months or 3.75k miles. I use full synthetic Mobil 1 though, does that mean I can change less often? Or do I need to change more frequently since I drive mostly in the city?

Also is there a specific oil filter that I should get? I been getting $7 non OE ones.

You can go longer with synthetic.

I have used many brand filters. Right now I have a bunch of Wix.

These are the filters I use. I get them through Napa. They have been great. Cost is about $6. OEM supplier. Drain back valve verified..
