4G OEM Ignition Coils

I have 198K on my 1995 SE 5MT, and although I've gone through troubleshooting my ignition more than once in its lifetime, I've never had to replace the original ignition coils.

Today, I'm shopping for OEM ignition coils locally and online because I'm pretty sure one of them is not working anymore. It's definitely not sparking although the coil plug is getting power and I've already put in new OEM NGK spark plugs. I've tested the coil using a multimeter and the reading is ∞ in both directions between the 1st and 2nd pin.

Everyone says get OEM ignition coils and replace all 6 of them at the same time. At this point, I'd be happy to quickly find one, just to get it running right.

Prices on OEM coils are like $225+ for a complete set. It's my understanding that the OEM coils are Hitachi.
Can someone tell me the exact part number(s) ?
On Amazon I'm seeing IGC0012 (left) and IGC0015 (right). Is this correct?

Do you know of a better deal, or should I not worry about it and get aftermarket coils and save the money?

I can get a full set of aftermarket coils for $59. I hesitate to get those because I already had a "new" one that I had bought at AdvanceAuto several years ago when one of my originals broke (ended up just epoxying it). However when I went to swap it out, and subsequently test it, it seems that it's not working even though it should be "new". So I'd like to get OEM if possible just to avoid any more uncertainty about them.

Been on the "org" forever, but it's been a long time since I've needed help. I love this car, but when it's not running right, it just feels like junk. Help! -Paul

Get the Hitachi's from Rockauto. Be sure to visit the group deal forum as RockAuto may still be offering 5% off.

Just know also ... for your searching purposes ... both Hanshin and Mitsubishi are/were also OE brands.

I may get roasted for this, but I have replaced 3 of mine with Import Direct Coils from O'reillys. I've had them for a year with zero issues.

Thanks! Yeah mine are Hanshin. FWIW, my 1995 SE was one of the initial 4Gs -- bought in October 1994. The overall quality has been supreme. <3

The Hanshin is all I use In my 95. I even picked of used ones once and after 4 yrs, doing just fine. Do Not replace all your coils at one time. For diag purposes, you dont want to install a problem in the event of a defective coil, or in the event that something else is actually wrong with your car. Im not saying its a bad idea. Ive installed 1000's of coils, From every major parts store to be honest. Very few Failures these days. But on these 4thgens you are very limited to diag live data. Just replace the One and Start there.

This is good advice. I know I came here to buy coils, but it turns out that all my coils are fine. Old yes, but fine. My harness is not perfect, but it works. My coils all spark.

But it's beginning to look like a bad injector. I have to find some time to dig deeper, but considering there's a spark and no explosion, that's next up on my list.

Thanks for all the advice! -paul

What is it doing exactly to lead to bad injector idea? I have a misfiring cylinder in #3. Injectors coils and plugs all been changed. But the blinking CEL keeps coming back.

Going to try my hand at replacing valve cover gasket on the rear. I already had to do the front couple years ago because the 1st time I did the valve cover gasket job, I thought the sealant was to cover the WHOLE gasket face. So the front was leaking into the alternator area. Never re-did the rear, but I’ve checked all around and don’t see fresh oil.

Spark plug tubes seem most suspect. Will do both
