I have an 09 maxima with about 200,000 miles and the AC gave out. I bought the 50$ bottle to fill it up and it said thenAC unit was maxed out so I went ahead and bought a new AC compressor. After 5 hours, I finally got the new one in but shortly after the belt started to rip. I cut one layer of the belt off and it’s be running fine. The only thing I changed was the AC compressor and it’s flush. My question is can I just run a smaller belt width and be okay?
