Anyone use battery group size 24F instead of 35N?
Anyone use battery group size 24F instead of 35N?
My OEM battery is 5 years old and at this point I would typically do a proactive pre-winter swap out for the "cheap" ~$100 Walmart EverStart battery with the three year warranty.
All of the battery selector tools I try spit out a size 35N for the 8th gen Max, but it's not in stock anywhere near me at the moment. However, my old 99 Max could use a 35N or the slightly larger 24F. The battery tray in my 2016 SV looks pretty tight, so I'm guessing that the 24F probably won't fit. I was just wondering if anyone else had tried a 24F with an 8th gen car and if it worked out. Anyone?
I'm going to keep my eye out of a 35N, but want to at least keep my options open. I have a jump starter that I can keep in the trunk if need be, so not in a hurry to replace.
Thanks!

24f fits just fine. I replaced my 5 year old battery today. Of course the battery blanket won't fit so I cut one corner of it and put it around as best as it would fit. Don't really think you need it that much anyway.
