Maxima 2011 3.5SV, Vibration in the Front Side
Hey guys! I am looking for some help identifying a problem with my Nissan Maxima. I am feeling a vibration in the front of the car that is transferring onto the body. Both axles were changed before. Front rotors and pads were changed too. I think it is caused by the engine mount. If you've had this problem before, could you tell me which engine mount you replaced, or how to tell which one is the defective one? Thank you so much.
You need to diagnose and make sure that it is the motor mount that is causing the vibration. Does the vibration happen when the car is moving, idling or both? Does the vibration change if you shift from P to R to D? Motor mount failing usually means car vibration occurs most pronounced when coming to a stop at a traffic light for instance. When one motor mount fails usually they all need to be replaced.
I have checked everything in the engine, as well as the transmission, the axles and everything in between. It seems as the problem is with the tires, as when I bought the car I wanted to wait until summer to get new ones. I will keep this thread updated and see if getting new tires solves the issue. Thank you so much for the help!
Does vibration happen in park? If so, I would start with the engine and Tran mounts.
Two by the passenger side close to strut tower
one front by radiator
one by wheel, passenger side
one by fire wall, bottom - will have to drop frame…
and Tran by driver wheel
