2019 Maxima Platinum sound enhancement
2019 Maxima Platinum sound enhancement
I recently purchased a pre-owned 2019 maxima platinum. It has the stock head unit with Bose speakers and Bose surround sound and driver Soundstage. It sounds good.
My question is, do ALL 2019 Platinums have the Bose Active Sound Enhancement (ASE) ? Or just the SR trim level?
I cant hear any artificial sound, even when I rev it in Sport mode.
Is this an option that my car may not have? I see nothing about active sound enhancement or active noise cancelling in the settings.
Is it possible the previous owner didn't pay for this option, or had it turned off at the dealership somehow? Is there any way for my to test or confirm if I have this feature?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

To my knowledge there is no "Sound Enhancement" in my 2019 SL.
However Active Sound Cancelling is on all the time. Leastways I believe it is, although I have wondered if that is the case when the radio is off.
The speakers/sensors for ASC are located in the roof lining directly above the front seat head rests.

Thanks for your response. According to this press kit release from Nissan, in 2019 the Bose ASE was standard on SV, SR and Platinum trims. But I have the 2019 Platinum and I can't hear anything even in Sport mode with it revved up. So I'm still puzzled.
From the Nissan Press Kit:
In addition, luxury-level interior quietness is enabled by an available Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system that works much like noise cancelling headphones, helping reduce unpleasant low-frequency sounds. An Active Sound Enhancement (ASE) system, which works by enhancing existing engine sound from the 3.5-liter V6 into the cabin (BoseŽ audio equipped models only), is standard on SV, SR and Platinum grades. Engaging "Sport" mode takes the stirring engine note a step further with the system allowing even higher engine note amplitude in the cabin.
