Oh great! My Pillars are starting to rattle!

Today was the dreadful pillar rattle of the maxima. I have never experienced this sound but to my amazement it really ****es me off! After 145K miles now this begins!

Hey, I'm right there with ya brother. Same noise, same miles. I'm gonna liquid nail those m'f'ers. Maybe remove them to shave weight? HEHE. I am going to fix mine in the warmer months. I'll post if I have success. Some other people have discussed this, so do a search if you're looking for a fix. BTW, my door panels rattle near the edge closest to the latch. Gonna fix those bastards too.

CHEAP FIX:
-buy some 1/2" thick/wide weather stripping from Hope-Depot or any harware store for like $4 a roll.

-Next pop off the pillars(staring at the top working your way down, there is a clip right at the top so be careful not to snap it!) Also remove the rubber stripping along the door frame to help get the pillar off easier.

-line the entire back of pillars with the stripping(it should have adhesive on one side). Next go to the metal frame of the car and line this as well using whatever is left.

-Now carefully pop back the pillar(bottom-top), its gonna fit very very snug but will NEVER rattle again!
