replaced ECM and engine cranks but no start..
So I Just had my ECM replaced with one from 'flagship one' which they claim is plug `and play and programmed to my vin. Problem is after install everything seems good except the car only cranks and the security light stays lit. After some research I found out my keys need to be reprogrammed to the ECM. I live out in the middle of no where.. (2 hours from a city) and theres no locksmith capable of this so the only other option would be to tow it to a dealership and have them do it which will cost me wayyy too much. So I found some software that can do it that I can purchase for $45.. heres a video of it working its magic:
the problem now is that the software requires a immobilizer pin. I'm reading online that the default "master" PIN for "most" nissans up to 2008 is 5523 but this is not a sure thing because I found another report that disputes this. Now there is an option to generate the pin online using information from the immobilizer stick.. but do i use the information from the sticker I got the ECM from (probably a junk yard car) or will mine work? Doesn't the ECM programming need to match. I'm reading the BCM serial number from the car it came out of needs to match. Appreciate any help
