Replace the connector

Hello .

Can I replace the connector from 1 to 2

I have the old solenoid with connector ( 2 ) and I pay new one but come with different connector ( 1 ) . Now I want to take the old connector and put it on the new solenoid .

I hope is it clear .

Are the number of wires the same between the solenoid and connector the same as well as the colouring of the wiring? If so, I suppose you could get a used pigtail connector that matches the new solenoid and wire it up but you have to be extremely careful with matching wires and patching in the pigtail otherwise you'll cause headaches. Is it possible to just get the correct solenoid with the proper connector for your harness and is everything else on this solenoid with a different connector for sure the same?
