Yes. Part is relatively inexpensive, and takes about 15 mins to change.

I hate those estimates. It takes me 15 mins just to jack up the car, put it on stands and put some good tunes in the Bosch player.

Also, gloves, tools, perhaps a brew.

The only estimate I fully endorse is the FSTB, I timed myself during a suspension install and it took me 2-3 minutes. I will admit that I do inspect and clean every step of the way if it is a new job.

Change it! I replaced the lower control arm and the stab. link 2 weeks ago and the car drives WAY much better. I spent about $95.00 in parts and more than 5 hrs in labour. I dont have any power tools and most of the time was spent trying to open bolts etc. My car is a 97SE with 112K and it seems as if the front end was never touched before.

Say werd son
How do you know if it needs to be replaced? I'm wondering whether some of my suspension is worn because of my large drop.

I'd recommend changing them if they are still the originals. Those guys are worn out by now. They should cost you about $45 OEM. I bought some moog end links and the bushings crapped out on me. Had to re-install the originals for now. For the first month I had the moog parts on the car felt stiffer and eliminated the clunking sound over bumps.
