Exhaust options 1998

So I’m looking for a cat back bolt on exhaust system and cannot find any online. My current exhaust is unfortunately full of holes from the cat back. Anyone have any suggestions? I was wondering if the 2000 maxima cat back would work to bolt on. Lots of options for those. If anyone has tried that, did it fit? Thanks.

No, it's not a direct bolt on.

Rock auto has a few mufflers and resonator/B pipes to choose from. Nissan changed a few things during the 95-99 run and aftermarket parts can be tricky to figure out.

What's bad on yours?

Mainly the entire catback is rusted. Replaced the muffler. Suspension going out as well.

I found BRExhaust Direct-Fit Replacement Exhaust Kit 106-0735. It's a new design that fits all 95-03 and 96-04 I30/I35. It's $475.

If you’re looking for a stock replacement system, Rock Auto also has system kits.

They don’t list the kit for the ‘98 but these are for the ‘99 which are interchangeable as I recall.

Judging by the pictures, none of those are a direct swap for a 98. The 2nd one down would need an O2 sensor bung installed.

95, 96, Cali 99, full length B pipe, no O2 bung.
97, 98, Fed 99, S pipe w O2 bung that mates to a shorter B pipe.

95-96, shorter muffler outlet
97-99, longer muffler outlet

any decent local exhaust shop should be able to build everything you need.
